Credentialing Services

In response to a demonstrated need to make the credentialing process faster and easier for Ohio physicians, OSMA, in partnership with the Academy of Medicine of Cincinnati, offers Credentials Keepers, a program designed to help physicians organize and maintain all information needed to process initial hospital and managed care applications as well as reappointments. Credentials Keepers offers a full-range of services that include:

  • Working with established physicians to process initial hospital and managed care applications as well as reappointment.
  • Handling all aspects of initial credentialing for new physicians, including credentialing by licensing boards, hospitals, managed care plans, and/or government agencies.
  • Compiling all information and then updating the data as needed, including DEA, state license and malpractice insurance.
  • Communicating with the physician or practice to obtain necessary information, completing applications, attaching required documents, submitting the applications to the appropriate entity, and following-up with the entity to assure all requirements have been met to successfully apply for privileges and/or membership.
