OSMA Council Applications Due Dec. 31

The Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA) is looking for a few good men and women to serve as at-large members of Council. The Council is charged with setting and approving the association’s mission, vision and strategic plan. Applications/Nominations are now being accepted here. All applications and nominations are due by Dec. 31, 2018.

The OSMA Council executes the policies and procedures of the House of Delegates (HOD) during and between annual meetings. In addition, it reviews all actions of association subsidiary boards, committees, and taskforces. In person meetings occur quarterly, with conference calls interspersed as needed to support the strategic plan and member advocacy.

Councilors are elected by the HOD and serve two-year terms commencing on the day of the election at the annual HOD meeting. Councilors at-large must be Active OSMA members during the entire two years preceding election.
