Hello! OSMA sends this monthly newsletter to all medical staff offices to distribute internally. Our goal is to best connect everyone on staff with Ohio's relevant information that impacts your profession—regardless of title, specialty or location. If you have questions or ideas that you think can improve the content or distribution of this communication, please email OSMA.

Legal Activity Impacting Ohio Physicians
Earlier this month, we notified members of a number of different legal topics—some of which OSMA is directly involved. Here is a summary of legal news throughout August:
Fix Medicare Now... Contact your Congress member during their recess:
To make interactions with your legislators as impactful as possible this month, the AMA has developed an online August recess resources site as your one-stop-shop for toolkits, legislative calls to action, issue briefs, infographics and detailed information on scheduling and preparing for legislative meetings and other in-district opportunities. We encourage all OSMA members to access this resource and contact your member of Congress today. We have to keep the pressure on Congress to fix the Medicare physician fee schedule. Thank you in advance for your help.

Stay tuned at OSMA.org/AnnualMeeting > (Registration and updates will be posted as we have it.)
Stethoscope Donations Needed for Tribute Art Installation in Progress
Two years ago we developed the Well-Being CARE tool to help ensure all healthcare workers in Ohio have a pathway to access mental health resources. As part of that initiative, we partnered with Disappearing Doctors last year to promote The Disposables—an art exhibit honoring the physicians we have lost to suicide in the last several years. The next Disposables artwork concept needs donated stethoscopes (old or unneeded).

Thank You for working collectively to best support our profession,
