We Need Your Help!

As you may know, OSMA launched a major insurance reform campaign this year to put patients' interests over insurance companies—shedding light on the massive burdens put on our healthcare system and providers. A slate of legislation we are supporting aims to bring much-needed transparency to the insurmountable power insurers have gained in the healthcare system, putting decisions about medical care back in the hands of the people who should be making them: expert physicians who are best at caring for their patients.

Championing Community Health:
A Summer Scholar's Journey

Another 2025 OSMA Summer Scholar, Jad Elharake, reflects on his summer working at the Noor Community Clinic, a trusted free health resource for underserved Muslim communities in Columbus, Ohio. As a medical student at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Jad is deeply involved in providing care to patients who are uninsured, undocumented, non-English speaking, or otherwise marginalized, while also exploring ways to protect these communities and advocate for health equity at the local and state levels.

TDC Survey Reveals Only 12% of Physicians Would Recommend Medicine as a Career

The Doctors Company’s new national survey of physicians paints a sobering picture of physician sentiment in 2025. The profession received a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of -52, signaling deep dissatisfaction across the medical community.
