Hello fellow RFS Member!

My name is Rommel Cruz Morales and I am honored to serve as your incoming Chair of the Residents and Fellows Section of OSMA. I am originally from Skokie, IL and attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for my undergraduate degree, completed a graduate degree at Northwestern University with a thesis in neointimal hyperplasia in vascular surgery, and recently graduated from Northeast Ohio Medical University for medical school. I am currently finishing my intern year in Ob/Gyn at Wright State University, practicing out of Miami Valley Hospital and Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

As a section, we have made our voices known on multiple issues spanning reform to healthcare infrastructure, reproductive rights, and education priorities for trainees. We recently had the opportunity at our OSMA Annual Meeting to both vocalize our advocacy and connect with our colleagues across sections, districts, and esteemed leaders in our field.

As your incoming Chair, I look forward to continuing the strong momentum in advocacy, as well as strengthening our section through renewed efforts in recruitment and advocacy. It is my vision that our communities will be improved by the community we build in our section and through OSMA!
