Advocacy Day at the Statehouse
On Wednesday, June 4, nearly 30 psychiatrists gathered together in Columbus at the statehouse to advocate on behalf of their patients and their profession. Priorities discussed with lawmakers included funding for additional positions in residency training programs, legislation to increase the number of psychiatrists on insurance panels ensuring network advocacy, and legislation on the prior authorization "gold card," intended to reduce the wait time for patients to obtain medical services.
