Yesterday, the Ohio Office of Budget and Management (OBM) announced a program to give direct relief payments to certain Medicaid healthcare providers. Specifically, the state is allocating dollars it received from the CARES Act to “provide assistance to providers of essential Medicaid services to offset some of the added cost of the COVID-19 pandemic and support the continuation of services through this emergency for the individual they serve.”
To find out more about the distribution and to assess your eligibility, review the following steps and guidance provided by the Office of Budget and Management.
As a final note, this is an unprecedented distribution of funds to a very large number of providers and organizations. Please be assured that OBM is working to distribute the funds as quickly as possible but are continuing to build the functionality of the portal. It will take several weeks to achieve a timely turnaround, so we ask for your patience during this start up period.
