Ohio to Increase Vaccine Distribution to Physician Practices

OSMA was informed that the Ohio Department of Health is planning to increase distribution of COVID-19 vaccines to physician practices in the next two weeks.

Most practices that have registered with the state have yet to get any supply. The state plans this expansion even with the recent announcement of the pause in the Johnson & Johnson vaccine use—as the majority of the planned supply going to offices was from the allocation of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.

OSMA has been advocating for practices to receive some supply and are encouraged by this announcement, particularly as we know patients have been requesting the shot from their personal doctor.
