We’re thrilled to introduce the OSMA Foundation Summer Scholars Program.Through this initiative, we are raising $10,000 to award four $2,500 stipends to medical students pursuing summer public health research internships.
Why does this matter?
As many of you know, medical students have the opportunity to pursue research internships between their first and second years of medical school. However, many of these internships are unpaid, which can add to the financial burden of medical students.
The OSMA Foundation is committed to educating and developing the next generation of physicians, as well as helping remove barriers for medical students from diverse backgrounds. Your support of the OSMA Foundation makes work like this possible.
"The type of support that this program will provide to students is truly wonderful. It will allow students to have the freedom to pursue their interests, expand their experiences, and potentially contribute to the medical community without the concern for finances. As a medical student, I am beyond excited and grateful to see this program be made available to future students.”
