A new AMA report based on the AMA’s Physician Practice Benchmark Survey shows that the use of telehealth in physician practices increased dramatically during the COVID-19 pandemic and remains much more widely used than before.
The report also compares 2024 telehealth use among physicians in practices with different ownership structures and presents novel estimates on the reasons why physician practices are not using telehealth. Lastly, it compares the weekly use of telehealth across physician specialties.
