State Medical Board Confidential Monitoring Program Replaces One-Bite Program – What to Know

 

The State Medical Board of Ohio has, effective this October, replaced the “one-bite program” with the “confidential monitoring program” to address impairment issues for Ohio physicians.

The new program provides individual treatment plans and confidential (non-disciplinary) programming, along with the inclusion of physical and mental health related impairment in addition to substance abuse. The program will be conducted by the Ohio Professionals Health Program (OhioPHP), a 3^rd party and well-experienced in impairment treatment programming.
