OSMA President Shares Insights at Governor’s Press Conference

Today, during Governor DeWine’s daily press conference, OSMA President Anthony Armstrong, M.D. joined Ohio Department of Health Director Amy Acton, M.D. for an expansive discussion on the impact of COVID-19 in Ohio, specifically how the pandemic is impacting Ohio’s minority populations.

As healthcare professionals across the country are learning more about the virus, this is an important conversation to ensure we are understanding its impact on different populations and helping all patients have the appropriate information to keep themselves and others healthy.

We hope you will check out Dr. Armstrong’s remarks and insights through the links below.

Dr. Armstrong’s appearance today is just one of the many ways in which OSMA is advocating for all Ohio physicians and patients during the COVID-19 crisis. We are so appreciative of this opportunity to participate in the daily press conference with Governor DeWine and Dr. Acton, as we know many Ohioans throughout the state tune in daily for important updates.

Whether impacted by the challenges of being on the front lines or struggling to ensure practices can see their patients and remain viable, we know Ohio physicians are being dramatically impacted by COVID-19. OSMA is working to ensure physicians have the latest information in an informative and actionable format. For additional information and to stay up-to-date, please visit OSMA.org/coronavirus.
