OSMA Joins Public Health Advocates Urging the Governor to Veto H.B. 513

H.B. 513 passed in the Ohio legislature last week, which would remove all local control over tobacco policies including:
  • implementing local tobacco retail licensure programs.
  • conducting local compliance to ensure retailers are not selling to kids.
  • and furthering policies to end the sale of flavored tobacco products designed to attract kids.

OSMA joined with numerous other state and local organizations asking the governor to veto this legislation. We will know by the end of the year if our efforts are successful.
