Recent House of Medicine Meeting Recap

Last week, OSMA convened the first of its two annual meetings of the House of Medicine, a collective of Ohio physician medical organizations, including OSMA and its many allies.

Together, we collaborate and combine our resources and powerful teamwork on advocacy priorities which impact medicine. The House of Medicine works continuously with OSMA throughout each year on key issues, helping us to communicate critical information to elected officials.

We were thankful to have nearly two dozen organizations including local/county medical societies and physician specialty societies represented on our June virtual meeting, where we were able to touch base on key advocacy initiatives such as the critical insurance reform legislation OSMA and many others are supporting, as well as other issues such as scope of practice, regulatory and legal matters impacting the health care space, and matters concerning public health.

We are thankful for this meaningful cooperation with our partners as we continue our advocacy endeavors!
