Ohio BWC Seeking Nominations for Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee

The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) is seeking nominations for its Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. The committee advises BWC on pharmacy policy, prescription drug safety and efficacy, and its outpatient and first-fill medication formularies. Terms are one year, with meetings in February and August.

OSMA will submit a list of physician nominees to BWC. OSMA members interested in serving are invited to submit a CV or resume and a brief bio describing their qualifications to Sean McCullough at smccullough@osma.org by Friday, Nov. 13, 2026 for inclusion on OSMA's list.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Physician members must hold an MD or DO, be familiar with the Ohio workers' compensation system, have significant clinical or administrative experience in areas such as pain management, quality assurance or utilization review, and understand evidence-based medicine and current best practices in their area of practice. Physicians who have been employed within the past 24 months by a pharmaceutical manufacturer, a pharmacy benefit manager, or a non-governmental entity administering state-purchased health care program benefits or pharmaceutical rebates are not eligible. You may wish to review the full requirements in Ohio Administrative Code 4123-6-21.2.

*Please note that appointments are made by the BWC Administrator and inclusion on OSMA's list does not guarantee appointment.
