With newer advances in dementia care, specifically Alzheimer’s disease, diagnosing the disease early is important for optimizing treatment options.

By attending the session, attendees should be able to:

  • Define dementia and the dementia disease continuum
  • Explain how to evaluate patients with memory loss
  • Briefly describe the most common types of dementia
  • Outline non-pharmacologic and pharmacologic interventions for dementia.
