District 2 Candidate Information
James Bryant, MD
I have the experience and the knowledge, as well as the desire to serve the physicians of Ohio in this important position.
I am a pediatrician in an active pediatric practice. I have been in practice since 1976. I have seen many changes within the practice of medicine over that time. I owe much to the practice of medicine and training I have received from the District 2 leadership.
My Curriculum Vitae traces the history of my medical life. I am most proud of my time in medical leadership, especially of my time as the 155th President of the MCMS.
Thank you for your consideration of my request to serve the Second District as the councilor of the OSMA Board.
Matthew Kramer, MD
I have served as Chief of Cardiac Anesthesia, Department Chair, Director of Education, Director of Credentialing, and hospital Board Member, learning administrative skills along the way.
As a practicing Anesthesiologist, I have performed the most complex cases that could be found in my institution, including open heart, major spine, major liver and pancreas, massive trauma and organ transplants.
As an instructor, I have taught medical students, residents, MICU and helicopter medics, and APPs of every description, teaching literally hundreds of individuals.
At the Raj Soin School of Business, I earned an MBA in health care administration, to better prepare me for service in hospital administration.
As a founding member of my practice, I have been providing and coordinating excellence in Anesthesia at my hospital for 23 years.
I am seeking this appointment firstly, so that I can apply my skill set to bringing transformative change to Medical care in Ohio.
Secondly, I see a health care system in crisis, and would love an opportunity to assist in management of the current crisis, and preparation for preventing the next one.
Thank you for this opportunity to apply, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Christopher Reeder, DO, FACS, FACOS
I have been in practice in the Dayton and surrounding areas for almost 30 years. During that time I also owned and operated a 15 office dermatology practice. Throughout my career I have served as an Associate Clinical Professor at the Boonshoft School of Medicine and the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. I am active on the national level in leadership positions influencing government policy for surgeons; especially with the COVID-19 changing landscape. For the past 10 years I have been involved at the Board level in test writing for plastic surgery certification. I think my unique background would serve our Dayton area physicians well.
Tarek Sabagh, MD, MHSA
I’ve been in private practice in medical oncology in Dayton for over 20 years. Prior to practice, I’d my residency at MVH and fellowship at OSU. I’d a rich and diversified practice experiences encompassing solo practice, working with a national management company and now in a private group practice. I’d been involved in various leadership positions at the local level in my hospital and medical society , MCMS.
With the current pandemic we’re living through now, I clearly see the need to have a grassroot organized voice for the physicians to the state and national levels. I’d be honored to serve my district in being the conduit of their voices to the state medical association and to work with other delegates across the state to set our priorities and also find ways to better serve our patients.
