OSMA's International Medical Graduate (IMG) Section recognizes that physicians representing international medical schools bring a wealth of diversity and are a vital part of Ohio’s physician community. This Section focuses on outreach, communication, benefits and other issues important to IMGs in Ohio. The IMG Section will work directly with OSMA staff to ensure a vibrant and relevant experience for all those that become part of the membership and Section.

J1 Visa Waiver Program in Ohio
OSMA is working with the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) to make some administrative changes to the implementation of the J1 Visa Waiver Program in Ohio and partner with ODH and employer sponsors on educational programs. ODH has agreed to make some changes in 2025 and partner on education. More information to come.
